Joseph Loomis is a U.S. Navy veteran, serial entrepreneur and inventor. He founded CarStereoConnection (acquired by Audio Warehouse), Net Enforcers (acquired by Intersections Inc., 2007) and CyberSponse, the security orchestration pioneer acquired by Fortinet in 2019. He holds U.S. patents in automated incident response. Today he is founder and CEO of TurboVets, a free national platform helping veterans claim the benefits they earned.

Long bio

Joseph Loomis grew up on ten acres of pine farmland in Oak Hill, Florida, where his father founded the town’s first volunteer fire department. At 18 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the Aegis guided-missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53) as the technician responsible for the ship’s cryptographic equipment, earning his Enlisted Surface Warfare qualification on the first attempt, evaluations ranking him #1 of 8 in his ET/IC division, and selection for the Navy’s BOOST officer program and NROTC at the University of Florida.

He founded CarStereoConnection (acquired by Audio Warehouse, 2003), Net Enforcers, which hunted counterfeit and unauthorized sellers across the internet (acquired by Intersections Inc., 2007), and CyberSponse, one of the first security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platforms, acquired by Fortinet in 2019 and still running today as FortiSOAR. He is the sole inventor of U.S. Patent 9,773,405 for real-time deployment of an incident response roadmap.

His team’s automation has run inside the Pentagon’s joint cybersecurity operations center, for U.S. Cyber Command’s Cyber Protection Teams, across the Department of Energy and for Ukraine’s national Cyberthreat Response Center. He holds an active Top Secret clearance with the Department of War. Today he is founder and CEO of TurboVets, a free, AI-driven, VA-integrated platform for America’s veterans, and testified about it before the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs in 2025. He lives in Dallas.
